Creating a non-chemical system optimized around the best attributes of these commonly known and used methods while limiting the shortcomings, and then added a BMS that simplifies installation and operation.

The electrostatic energy storage system is extremely long lasting, highly efficient, safe, and can be rapidly charged and discharged, but also discharged very slowly. These devices utilize the best attributes of both chemical and electrostatic devices and are dense enough for almost all electrical energy storage applications.

NO HEAT GENERATION OR THERMAL RUNAWAY

Chemical batteries produce heat during operation which, at a certain point, can become exothermic, meaning it burns at a temperature that is self-sustaining and extremely difficult to extinguish. Electrostatic modules operate without creating heat, this risk of fire does not exist.

20 YEAR WARRANTY

These modules are scalable energy storage building blocks with an expected lifespan of 45 years, far surpass the average lifespan of Li-ion solutions.

MULTIPLE CYCLES PER DAY

The modules are capable of more than two charging and discharging cycles per day. Many chemical battery warranties are voided by over-cycling or simply limited to one cycle/day or less.

ULTRA-HIGH EFFICIENCY

Electrostatic energy storage systems are 97% efficient at the module level. Compare this to many Li-ion batteries that lose as much as 10% (in heat) in every cycle. Over time these Li-ion losses increase and become even more prohibitively expensive.

FAST CHARGING

The modules are capable of 30-40 minute charging, allowing them to address any energy storage need in the market. No chemical battery can compete with this performance (lead acid = 10-12 hours, Li-ion = ~4 hours

DISCHARGE IN MINUTES OR MONTHS

The modules can discharge super-fast OR super-slow OR hold a full charge for years without leakage. Our long duration energy storage suits the needs of all end-users.

MINISCULE CAPACITY DEGRADATION

Proven in the field in extreme temperatures for 10 years without measurable degradation. Since the technology provides for electrostatic storage (energy stored as energy), instead of a heat-producing electrochemical reaction (energy stored in a chemical), there is no stress on the materials over time.

OPERATE IN EXTREME HEAT & COLD

The modules can operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -40ºF to +150ºF / -40ºC to +65ºC without experiencing damage. Li-Ion batteries will experience permanent damage at temperatures below -5ºC / 23ºF and above +45ºC / 113ºF.

VIRTUALLY NO MAINTENANCE

The modules need virtually no periodic maintenance. They monitor and protect themselves throughout their lifetimes. Every part or component can be repaired and replaced in the field.

COST EFFECTIVE

Due to its long life, ability to cycle multiple times per day, and high round-trip efficiency, electrostatic energy storage delivers the lowest long-term cost of energy in the industry. These storage systems last as long or longer than alternative off-grid or grid-tied system.
